"Deep Storm" by Lincoln Child

Hi there!

This is my first official post and I though it would be a good chance to talk about a book I've just read.

Last week, I decided to go to the library before going to class. The thing is that I forgot that I need a lot of time when i go to one because i want to check till the very last book. I had picked two of them (and the class was about to start in 10 minutes) when I came across with "Deep Storm" It's plot called my attention but I really wanted those other 2 books. So in the end I decided to bought the 3 of them, even if that represented to make bigger the black whole that is my wallet.
Now I have finshed it, I can't say it was a very good choice.
"Deep Storm" is a nice combination of Techno-Thriller, mistery and Sci-Fi that keeps you stuch to its pages like Steven Spielberg to one of his films.

The story starts when Dr.Crane is called to an oil platform in order to investigate the weird simptoms of some of the workers. However the platform is just a cover for a bigger project, the access gate to the Complex: The most advanced scientific facility located Km underwater and protected by a big dome. The mission of this facility is to dug into the sea bed in order to get to the continental crust and find the technological remains of the ancient Atlantis civilization.
However Crane notices that there's something more lying beneath the crust and that "something" will be the beginning of his worst nightmares.

Lincoln Child inmerses us in an interesting and thrilling story that, thanks to his talent, we can imagine till the last detail of they high-technological Complex (sometimes you can even feel the same fear of working under miles of water pressure). Fluently narrated and with some unexpected plot twists, the book can keep us reading for hours because we, the same as doctor Crane, also want to know the secret buried in the depths of our planet.

If you like Michael Crichton or Clive Cussler's books (who gave a very positive review of this book) you will enjoy it. If you have read it, feel free to post your opinion.

See you!
